Importance of Lesson Planning

Lesson planning is most important for teachers. Without lesson planning, teacher cannot teach effectively. Planning is not only important in teaching profession, it is also important in daily life. Some of the benefits of Lesson Plans are:

• It helps to think through WHAT will the students learn.

• It helps the teacher to think through HOW we will teach it.

• It helps the teacher to decide in advance what equipment and material we will need to assemble for the class.

• Provides structure for both teacher and students.

• Increases likelihood that learning will occur.

Objective

For lesson planning firstly I will make an objective means, What students will learn after the completion of the topic.

Why

Next steps for making a lesson plan is that I can decide why the students can learn this topic. Where students will use this knowledge. My aim is that students will use this knowledge in their daily life. When students apply the knowledge in real life then they can't forget the knowledge. Students can apply this information step by step in their daily life. According to me if a student gets the knowledge then they should know where they will use the knowledge.

Previous Knowledge

as a teacher we know well that we cannot directly start the lecture. Firstly we will check the previous knowledge of the students regarding the topic. With the help of the previous knowledge we will assess the students how much knowledge they have. So I think previous knowledge of the students is most important before starting the lecture

How

Next step of my lesson plan is that I can decide how I can achieve my goals. Which material I will give you during the lecture like projector flash cards etc. We well know that students easily learn by activities so i can prefer creativity. So I can always be creative in the class for easy learning. My students always say to me ma'am please do something in class. So as a teacher we must go to the level of the students and think about what they want.

Guided Practice

Guided practice is also important to me in lesson plans. In this part of the lesson plan. In this part of the lesson plan I can divide the students into the groups. This is very beneficial for the students. With the help of the guided practice they will communicate with each other, they can exchange their ideas and they can discuss the topic. . I came to check on a group of the students. If they have any problem then, I will help them sort out the problems. I got very good results from this section of the lesson plan.

Individual Practice

In this section of the lesson plan I can test whether the students have got the proper knowledge or not. In this section students will solve the book work or some problems like puzzles, which I can write on the whiteboard individually.This part is also very helpful to me to check the students understanding the topic or not

Closing

At last I repeat all the lecture about the objective of the lecture, why we read this topic etc. In this section I also ask some questions to the students to revise the lecture.
