Youth is facing the problem to choose a career. Young students are confused about their future as there is no clarity about what to do 'when we become adults'.

Nowadays there is the trend of Ilets - so much that we do not even spell or pronounce it correctly. It is IELTS, not i-lets. Anyway, whenever we talk with our relatives or other adults about what should be done after +2, they always have the same answer: do IELTS and go abroad. For this, parents are willing to sacrifice everything. But when we ask what should we do in foreign? They don't have any answer to this beyond driving truck or some other entry level job. Sure, we can do IELTS; sure, we can go abroad; sure, we can buy things; but is that enough? Our families are getting disintegrated. Our interpersonal relationships with other humans are also decreasing.
Is IELTS everything now? Actually, most schools do not work on shaping responsible human beings who can participate actively in society but focus on the commercialization of education. I have seen some school posters which advertise that they provide free IELTS training to their students and help students go abroad. This is just sad and unfortunate. For one reason or another, most students do IELTS when they feel that there are not many career options left for them. This is true because not only there are fewer opportunities, but also the hurdles in becoming successful are too many. We can say, there are options, but no 'opportunities'.
Some time ago, our government of Punjab announced the recruitment of Punjab police. Students filled their forms by paying ₹1000. They started preparation, joined coaching classes and at last they had given their test. After the written test of the sub-inspector post, officers said that the test was leaked and the test will be held again. When? How was the question paper leaked? Is there any fault of students? Just take a look at other recruitments or entrance tests - nothing very promising.
It is concerning because if there is not any remedy to the career challenge, it may start affecting the economy of our state because unemployed people cannot participate a lot in the economy.

I do not want to bore you with overly repeated lectures about unemployment. I want you to start taking responsibility. Maybe, schools should also start focusing on helping students create jobs, instead of finding jobs, as that was the vision of the great educator of this nation- Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
i agree with your opinion and i really appreciate it. but in these days school authorities just run schools for their business , just for more money. we all talking about jobs or new startups but no one talking about sports. even schools also collect sports funds from students.but the reality is that they don’t focus on sports. they aren’t hire professional coaches, they don’t provide proper sports kitts, even they don’t focus on that thing like which student is taking interest in which game. if we talking we talking about Punjab we haven’t got much sportsman. i am not going to compare but thats the reality, in foreign countries schools are too aware about sports. i am not sure…
